Privacy policy

This site is operated by Kartik Saxena, trading as Da Design, based in India. For any privacy question, email karrtiksaxena@gmail.com.

There is no account system here, and nothing is sold or rented to anyone. Data reaches me in three ways:

• Enquiry details you send. If you use the project form or email me, I receive what you typed - typically a name, an email address and a project brief. It is used to answer you and nothing else.
• Anonymous usage statistics. If analytics is enabled, aggregate information such as pages visited, approximate region and device type.
• Standard server logs. Requests to this site are logged by the hosting provider, including IP address and user agent, as with any website.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Cookies may be set by third parties described below. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; doing so does not break anything here.

When enabled, this site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are read. IP anonymisation is turned on, so a full IP address is never stored by the analytics service. Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Articles in the blog may carry advertising served by Google. Where they do, the following applies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a wider set of vendors at aboutads.info/choices.
• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent prompt before any personalised advertising or analytics cookie is set, and that choice can be changed at any time from the same prompt.

Advertising is confined to the blog. The portfolio and service pages carry no ad units.

Some outbound links to tools are affiliate links, which may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They are marked where they appear, and the full explanation is on the disclaimer page.

• Vercel - hosting and request logs
• Google Firebase - storage for enquiry submissions and site content
• Google Analytics - anonymised usage statistics, when enabled
• Google AdSense - advertising on blog pages, when enabled

Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

You can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email karrtiksaxena@gmail.com and I will respond within a reasonable period. Enquiry emails and form submissions are kept only as long as they are useful for the conversation they belong to.

This site is aimed at people commissioning professional creative work and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from them.
